Spark Studio

Ages 5-8

In the Spark Studio we take most of our cues from the Montessori approach: spending lots of time engaged in imaginary play, building friendships, exploring the outdoors and learning to read.

The young learners are able to be themselves within a structured environment, where they will learn the real-life skills, independence, relationships, confidence, and focus that they need in order to thrive in our upper elementary program.

Spark Learners:

  • Grow curiosity through hands-on projects, outdoor exploration, and Socratic discussion
  • Get time to uncover their natural interests, explore art & building, and are encouraged every day to have fun!
  • Build the foundations of independent learning, reading, writing, math, and communication

Upper Elementary Studio*

*Coming 2025!

Ages 8-11

Our upper elementary program feels different than any traditional school, on purpose. In this studio, young learners will be engaged in deep work on their core skills, participating in challenges and passionate discussions that will test and grow their critical thinking skills.

These learners will spend lots of time in hands-on projects that leave lasting impressions and transferrable skills and knowledge.

There are no tests or assigned homework here.

Upper Elementary Learners:

  • Learn to learn, learn to do, and learn to be
  • Ask great questions, form solid opinions, while maintaining an open heart and mind
  • Have fun, welcome others, and come to the studio every day with a growth mindset
  • Build a foundation in all core skills: math, reading, writing, and Civilization
  • Set goals, take responsibility, and warmly hold themselves and their fellow learners accountable
  • Develop a love for learning with deep work, hands-on projects, challenges, and space for exploration

The 21st Century Classroom

Studios, Not Grades

Instead of grouping learners by grade level, the mixed age classroom allows for well rounded learning, chances for peers to take turns guiding their fellow learners, and provides space for learners to master their skills needed to feel confident moving to the next studio.
